CSI #108: Oh, wait!

by - 2/06/2014 08:36:00 AM

Hello! I had great time playing with this CSI case #108. First I had my doubts for the colors, but soon I found great papers for it, and let my hands do their job. I love that feeling while scrapbooking, that you don't have to think much, just do what you're feeling and see what comes up :)

Heippa!

Evidence: mixed media background, newsprint, stamps, pen work.
Testimony: Tell a story you've never told before, inspiration word "share" and "story".

This page tells about my passion to photograph. I think my hubby would say it's more obsession than passion, but hey, that's his opinion!
The title is one of my most often called sentences. I was meant to write "grab" instead of "crop", but for some reason my focus went to something else, and there is "crop"...Ooops!!! "Oh wait, let me just grab my camera!" and then my hubby, kids or even my dog has to stop what their doing and wait for me to photograph it first. Just like e other day when we had a lot of fun on sledding hill! My hubby has to stop his glide, I wanted to memorize it first.
I've always loved photographing. Things looks so different, usually more beautiful, when you look them through a lens. Before, I didn't know what to do with all those beautiful photographs, they were just laying in their folders, some hanging on the wall. But when I found scrapbooking, my photography hobby burst into bloom! I started to take photos with more thought and with more passion, and started to hear and see things differently than before. I wanted to capture the whole moment to a photograph and to a scrapbook layout, not just nice face or a fact how someone did something or was somewhere. I want to create my pages with a same thought I had while photographing. For example, that my daughter's could see not only the memory, but the feel of the memory - feel my thoughts behind each picture.
For me, the best way to reach this goal is just let it go. Not to think too much, just feel the feeling.
[Sorry, I hope you get the point what I mean, my English skills are running out as I'm trying describe my feels and thoughts.]
...And yes, this is story that I've never told before. It's written to a backside of the layout, it wouldn't fit any other way :D

Sivu kertoo intohimostani valokuvaukseen.
Otsikko on yksi useiten sanomistani lauseista.
Olen aina rakastanut valokuvausta.

A little mistake while writing.
I think my self-esteem is quite high, as I didn't fix this before blogging it :D
Ihan pikkunen moka vaan.

  2. Your English comes across perfectly and I know exactly what you mean. I too find that things look more beautiful from behind a lens...probably because you are zoomed into whatever beautiful thing you are looking at - up close without all of the extra nonsense around it. Love the way you used this casefile!

  4. I think that this layout as one of my faves is right up there. I can so relate to your journalling and always wanting to stop and take a pic. My family teases me and says that my camera is joined to my hand and my eye... thats ok for me and the world does look better through my lens... You rock Terhi :D <3
