Journey into the past {my first layouts}.

Hello! If you are having a bad day this just the right post for you - lots of laughter ahead. Few days ago I told you about my chest of secrets, the place I keep my albums. Today I'll show the "highlights" in those albums, the very first layouts of mine. 

I'd like to describe these as the failures. But these are just old and I think all of our styles have evolved over the years, right? So, here we go. 

Heippa! Jos nyt on huono päivä niin osuit oikeaan postaukseen - paljon naurua ja myötähäpeää edessä! Muutama päivä takaperin esittelin arkun täynnä albumeita. Tänään näytän "parhaat palat" albumeista, ihan ensimmäisiä tekemiäni sivuja.

Haluaisin kuvailla näitä myös parhaimmiksi mokiksi. Mutta nämä on vaan vanhoja ja kaikkien meidän tyyli on kehittynyt vuosien varrella, eikös? Joten, näillä mennään.

The layout on the left hand side is THE first layout. I made it with the stash I borrowed from a friend - she taught me how to stamp, how to use double-sided tape and all the basics. The layout tells about our engagement, it actually includes the newspaper ad where we announced that we're engaged! 

The right hand side layout is about my younger daughter and includes few of the pics which were in a magazine where we were interviewed. The magazine is called "Baby" in English and the interview was about how challenging our little baby girl was.

Vasemmalla on SE ihka ensimmäinen sivu. Tein sen tavaroilla joita lainasin ystävältäni - hän opetti kuinka leimata, kuinka käyttää kaksipuolista teippiä ja kaikki muut perusasiat. Sivu kertoo kihlauksestamme ja on siellä ihan meidän lehti-ilmoituskin asiasta.

Oikealla sivussa on muutama kuva lehtiartikkelista Vauva-lehteen. Nuoremman kohdalla meitä haastateltiin lehden artikkeliin teemalla "vaativa vauva".

One pregnancy shot. I'm so happy every time I see this pic - I'm not having that huge belly ever again! Lol!

The other layout is about me and my siblings. How we look when we were children, and how we look now. Or looked few years ago.

Yksi raskauskuva. Ai että alkaa hymyilyttää joka kerta kun katson tuota kuvaa - minun ei ikinä enää tarvitse kantaa tuota mahaa!

Toinen sivu kertoo minusta ja sisaruksistani. Miltä näytimme lapsina ja miltä nyt. Tai siis no, muutama vuosi sitten.

Left: Me and my dear girl friend. Still one of the most important people in my life.

Right: My daughter found a boat - just a little something missing there. Journaling tells a question she asked about death.

Vasemmalla: Minä ja rakas ystäväni. Vieläkin yksi tärkeimmistä ihmisistä elämässäni.

Oikealla: Tyttäreni löysi veneen -  jokunen osa vaan puuttui siitä. Tarinointi kertoo kysymyssarjan jonka hän esitti koskien kuolemaa.

Left: Another question about death. It was a big topic in our house few years ago. My older daughter wondered if she could eat death fairy if she found one!? This question came up on a fishing trip so it was locigal to make that kind of conclusion: Fishing so you can eat fish, why not to hunt fairies and eat them? Lol!

The thing what pops in to my eyes is that I've used a lot of brown back then. There is hardly any brown in my layouts nowadays. But also, colors like green, turquoise and white are still my favorites.

Vasemmalla: Toinen kysymys kuolemasta. Se oli suuri puheenaihe muutama vuosi sitten. Vanhempi tytär pohti josko kuolleen keijun voisi syödä!? Kysymys tuli kalareissulla, sikäli melko looginen päätelmä: Jos kalastetaan ja kuolleen kalan voi syödä, miksipä ei sitten metsästetä keijuja ja syödä niitä? :D

Minun silmiini hyppää ruskea väri näistä vanhoista sivuista. Käytin sitä hyvin paljon. Nykypäivänä tuskin ollenkaan. Toisaalta, vihreä, turkoosi ja valkoinen ovat edelleen lemppareitani.
