Countdown To Christmas | Household Happening

The happy journey continues here in mine and in Riikka's blog - time for another Countdown To Christmas post!
Previous posts are here:
Countdown To Christmas, part one - Scrap FX.
Countdown To Christmas, part two - Pan Pastels.

Today we have nice and super challenging theme, using items you find from your home. No mixed media products, but of course patterned papers, thickers, glues, tapes and embellishments were allowed.
Before starting, I was quite sure I'd go with natural theme. Leaves, grass and branches from the garden and lots of browns to be the color scheme. But instead, I took my daughter's watercolors and played with them. White cardstock on the background is a little wrinkled because of wet colors and no gesso, but I found watercolors really inspiring. The color is matte and much lighter than with any paints or mists. Black was a practical choice for a layout telling about my sweet husband.
To use household things, I added some tissue paper to give texture, and bolts and nuts to embellish. There old neckless as well, cut in pieces and give more sheen.
Some of the papers are regular patterned papers, but I also used paint sample papers from local hardware store. And to list some other supplies, there is staples, pen marks, other office supplies and and and... There are so many thing in every home what can be used in a craft project! Just try and discover, it's so much fun.

And to to coolest part - our giveaway!
